Review by:rohit Sep 27, 2011 A common problem i have when my friends come over .....
  • A common problem i have when my friends come over from South India and Abroad is that they want to have a complete North Indian Experience Meal. However, being a vegetarian i always feel that i cannot completely contribute to that meal experience (since most of them are carnivores, just my luck) The Great Kabab Factory is the most simple and best solution that exists to this dilemma. Located in the MGF metropolitan mall, the least crowded mall among the Saket Malls chain complex, it is easy to locate and there is a lot of parking available in the close vicinity. The interiors have a modern elegant look to it and the tables are well spaced out and offer a large window view. It is appropriately air conditioned and they have TV screens which they are happy to tune to any major sports action taking place. They even have a large glass kitchen wall that offers you a view of the clean and well run kitchen. The service is prompt and smart, and you are shown to your table relatively quickly. You are offered a choice of a vegetarian or a Non-vegetarian meal. This is one of the reasons i like this place so much, it takes away from all the irritating thinking and going through a menu. The menu is served to you at your table and composed of (a)Starter Kababs (choice of 4 for lunch and 7 for dinner) served with Minty Chutney, Tamarindy Sauce, Sliced onions and Lime (b) Choice of Dal (yellow/black) (c) Biryani (veg/non-veg) (d) A paneer/chicken gravy dish (e) Choice of Indian Breads (f) Dessert. and did i mention that all those are unlimited. Yes, I'll say it again, Unlimited for the standard charge of 499 for lunch and 899 for dinner (plus taxes) The waiter keeps refilling your plate and keeps asking you what you would like to repeat and informs you about each item is served. The food is great, the Kababs taste excellent. They are well done fresh and very appropriately spiced. Unlike most places you can taste the ingredients of the Kabab also and not just the spices. The more i say about the food the less it is, i could not find any flaws with any of the items on the menu, every thing was perfect, and tasted excellent and completely flawless in execution. In short it offers a "complete north Indian" meal experience especially if you're visiting the city, and my hardcore non vegetarian friends swear by it. For the vegetarians i can vouch for the food and promise you wont be disappointed. To Summarize Access (parking, locatability) - 9/10 Exterior - 7/10 Interior - 9/10 Service - 10/10 Food - 9/10 Prices - 8/10 Overall - 9/10

  • The kebabs at this place are delicious. What I liked best were the 'gilouti kebab' and the steamed fish kebabs. Also delicious was the 'bhakarkhani'. The service was good though can be improved as far as giving information about the set menu is concerned, the prawns are not part of the menu and the drink is, which they don't talk about even after asking repeatedly!
