Reviews for Olive Beach

The best part of the restaurant was the outdoor setting, with white pebbles and overlooking the open oven, setting the mood for a romantic evening ahead. The staff was exceedingly friendly without being intrusive. The chef kindly came by to help us decide a menu which seems to change quite often. The Ratatouie was perfect and the Belgian Chocolate chocolaty enough to allow us to sip on it lightly. Students on a tight budget are not exactly the preferred customers of hotels, yet this one never let it show, even throwing in a free pink champagne sorbet just to sweeten up things to perfection. Thankfully the surroundings were quiet, with no boisterous group and the population widely spread out, allowing us to coo and not shout across the table. the lack of public transport to reach it or go away is possibly the only nuisance though not an insurmountable one (and also it is unlikely that not all con-osiers will hate on driving on delhi roads as the reviewer does). In a gist, if you want a hotel restaurant with the value of a stand-alone, while avoiding the saccharine sweetness of 5 stars, this restaurant is hard to match in its brilliance.
Ps - many years ago at the same hotel, i was told by my father that this was Rajiv Gandhi's favorite restaurant, its hard not to guess why.
