  • The first thing you notice is the ambience of the place. Not quite sicilian but just as appealing. The ceiling being really really high gives you a very royal feeling at the entrance. 56 is a place that every Italian food lover must try once if they live in Gurgaon. The food's not a veggies delight in the variety but the quality is never compromised. Fantastic wine (both French and Italian) always make for a great companion to the food. The desert is limited in variety but the soufle is a must have. I enjoyed the pizza more than the pasta (strangely) but I wouldn't dwell on the starters when the salads are much more delectable. The service is fantastic. The waiters are mind readers and very efficient here. A word of warning though, this place is not friendly to the weak wallet. Especially if you binge on the wine. But an experience one must take every quarter.

  • We guys are regular italian cusine chaser and have been to 56 earlier too but this weekend was a super experience. Needless to say the ambience of the place is amazing. Sitting amidst the palm trees, with a cieling height of atleast 40-50 ft makes it a perfect evening to start off with. The food menu offers a whole lot of options even for vegetarians . We ordered a pizza, a salad and a pesto pasta. Must admit the portion size is small but these dishes were enough foir the two of us. We found the whole experience of dinign them great and would certainly like to revisit the place gaain for both the ambience as also the food.

  • It's one of the most over rated eating places in Gurgaon. My first (and only) visit was such a disappointment that I'll probably never go there again. Despite being expensive they seem to be terribly stingy about their bread basket. I kept asking for brown bread instead of white and they couldn't get it till we were half way through our meal. The service was pathetic - frantic waving in the air couldn't grab the waiter's attention and one one occasion, I'm positive a waiter looked right through me. The food is just about palatable and woefully over-priced. I ordered a chicken pizza and spent most of my meal trying to arrange the megre chicken pieces in a way that I got at least one small piece of chicken with every bite. Totally forgettable!
